About Our Company
Situated in the Central Valley--the heartland of California, Frontier Ag Company is perfectly located to serve the agricultural and renewable biomass commodity markets and therefore bring value to clients.
Whether clients are farmers, commodity providers, or large corporate buyers, we are able to find markets for, procure, and deliver goods daily via multiple modes of transportation.
Frontier Ag Company's main office in Davis, CA is conveniently located off of Interstate 80 at a 34-acre facility that includes 68,000 square feet of flat-storage warehouses, 2,500 tons of tank storage, and an appropriately scaled rice dryer.
Our Stockton, CA facility contains 52,000 square feet of storage space in addition to a Union Pacific rail spur. With these facilities, and our professional and highly trained staff, Frontier Ag offers customers a wide variety of commodity and manufactured products via various shipping options with additional value-added services.
With over 63 years of combined, professional experience working in agricultural commodities and successful milling operations, the managing partners founded Frontier Ag Company in 2002. From the beginning, Frontier Ag has consistently grown.
In 2003, Frontier Ag entered the renewable biomass market, working closely with both large-scale commercial operating and emerging renewable energy and biofuel firms. Services included not only the procurement and securing of a steady stream of biomass for operation, but also determining fuel characterization and market availability for studies required to secure project funding.
In 2006, Frontier Ag acquired the Davis warehouse and drying facility, which has been in operation since 1984. What began as a simple rice-distribution business quickly grew to a diversified, agricultural-commodity merchandising operation, connecting multi-billion dollar food and & beverage corporations and other bulk purchasers of agricultural commodities to farmers and commodity providers alike.
In 2009, Frontier Ag acquired her second, large-scale operating facility in Lathrop, CA. The addition of rail freight with this location enabled Frontier Ag to grow into larger commodity volume deals and transport.
Key to Frontier Ag's successful history has been the value of client relationships and a collaborative approach to deal structuring with both buying and selling clients. Frontier Ag has only the client to thank for retained success, even in oftentimes volatile market conditions.
